The N.C.a.A. is conducting an investigating into Auburn University’s recruitment of Cam Newton. Cam Newton was recruited by the university for the Heisman Trophy intended as quarterback and front-runner.
It has been revealed by John Bond, a ex-Mississippi State quarterback, that he was contacted by an ex-teammate regarding a “specified amount of payment” to get Newton.
Auburn’s Cam Newton has been blazing through with 1,112 yards, 14 touchdowns, and passing for 1,573 yards and 15 touchdowns and has been a critical player.
Bond is said to have told,
“He told me that Cam Newton wanted to play at Mississippi State, but that a specified payment would have to be made,”
Bond also told that he had reported the conversation to the Mississippi State Athletic Department, however was told that the Mississippi State would not respond to the overture.
